On December 28, at the invitation of President Wang Kai, Academician Bernard Müller from the German Academy of Engineering visited China Academy of Unban Planning & Design and engaged in academic exchanges with experts

During the Meeting, representatives from CAUPD Science and Technology Department, Institute of Urban Renewal, Institute of Historic City, Research Institute of Urban Regeneration;,Historical and Cultural City Protection and Development Research Branch; Academic Information and Innovation Centre of Urban Planning presented research findings and exchanged ideas.

Academician Müller acknowledged that national urban and rural basic information data platform has laid a solid foundation for planning research. He expressed his desire to further collaborate with CAUPD in this field. Academician Müller displayed great interest in Chinas achievements in green and low-carbon urban construction, emphasizing that energy efficiency utilization and sustainable lifestyles have become global priorities for urban development. During discussions, he shared relevant cases and experiences regarding heritage preservation and urban renewal in Germany while providing suggestions for further research aligned with Chinas current development situation.

President Wang Kai engaged in an extensive discussion with Mr. Müller on these topics.He emphasized that as China continues its rapid urbanization process,it is crucial to refine its unique system for urban planning, construction,and governance while continuously learning from international best practices.This will enable China to share its story globally and promote its valuable experiences.
