II. Technical Points
The City Information Model (CIM) will promote the intelligent application of digital twin city throughout its life cycle. CAUPD undertook the construction of Xiongan CIM platform, focusing its work on the following aspects.
First, we focused on the simulation of planning schemes, and created a inter-disciplinary data baseboard with the help of three-dimensional planning condition formation, which not only connected the master plan with detailed planning and urban design, but also made seamless connection with related special planning and urban planning schemes in geology, transportation, energy, water supply, environmental protection, etc., thus creating data synergy between various disciplines. In the future, we will do model testing and simulation, including models of transportation, space, water and climate systems, all of which will become useful tools for optimizing planning and design.
Second, for specific construction projects, Xiongan CIM focused on the construction process of the full life cycle, including the estimation of earthwork quantity, time sequence of construction, material transportation, logistics distribution, etc., as well as scientific management in the construction process and intelligent monitoring and early warning of the construction site.
Third, in city operation and maintenance, Xiongan CIM stressed the role of urban perception and the interconnection of all things.
Finally, Xiongan CIM will provide a human-centered smart interface. The digital twin city based on the CIM platform will eventually improve and reshape human perception, cognition, experience, and decision-making capabilities vis-a-vis cities or the future, give birth to more future usage scenarios, explore more future development dimensions, prompt more future creative ideas, and ultimately help accelerate the evolution of urban society in reality.
