Zhang Shenghai
Vice President of China Academy of Urban Planning and Design, professor-level senior urban planner, registered urban planner, graduated from Chongqing Jianzhu University with a major in Urban planning and Master of Engineering from Tsinghua University. Member of Mountain Academic Committee of China Urban Planning Society, Vice chairman of Chongqing Urban Planning Society, Chairman of Academic Committee of Chengdu-Chongqing Twin-city Economic Circle.
He has worked in relevant departments in Tangshan City and Haidian District of Beijing, and is an expert of planning committee in Chongqing, Tangshan and other cities. He has been engaged in urban planning and design work for a long time and has won more than 10 national awards for excellent urban and rural planning and design.
Major projects he has presided over and participated in include: Regional planning for Chang-Zhu-Tan city cluster, coordinated development planning for Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei city cluster, territorial spatial planning for Chengdu-Chongqing Twin City Economic Circle, master planning for Beijing, Tangshan, Baoding, Dezhou, Xiangtan, Xiamen, Haikou and other cities or regions, development strategies and territorial spatial planning for Chongqing, Chengdu, Urumqi, Tibet Autonomous Region and other cities. Additionally, he has worked on the Chongqing city physical examination,"Two Rivers and Four Banks" and the "Ciqikou" area urban renewal projects and many other major implementation projects. He has been responsible for a number of major topics such as "Research on the Spatial Development Situation of Chengdu-Chongqing Urban Agglomeration", "Research on the construction of the Index System for the Evaluation of the Quality of Mountain Human Settlements", "Research on the Mechanism of Coordinating Flood Control and Drainage and Urban Construction of Cities along the River". Furthermore, he has participated in the research on the related sub-topics of the "14th Five-Year Plan" project of the Ministry of Science and Technology, "Key Technologies for Spatial Optimization of Urban Agglomeration Metropolitan Area" and "Urban Renewal Design Theory and Method".
