Mr. LI Xun is the former Vice President of the China Academy of Urban Planning and Design(CAUPD) and a Professorate Senior Urban Planner. He has served as the Editor-in-Chief of Urban Development Studies and as part-time Doctoral Supervisor at Shandong Jianzhu University (university of architecture).
In addition to his former vice presidency at CAUPD, Mr. LI also served as the Deputy Secretary of CAUPD Party Committee(director-general level). Additionally, he was the Secretary General of Chinese Society for Urban Studies(CSUS) and Vice President of China Association of Building Energy Efficiency.
LI Xun has received numerous accolades for his contributions in the field, such as Expert on Special Government Allowance by the State Council, National-Level Candidate for Million-Talents Project in the New Century
by the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security, Young and Middle-Aged Expert with Outstanding Contributions in Science and Technology Management by the former Ministry of Construction, and National Outstanding Professional in Science and Technology by the China Association for Science and Technology.
With 39 years of experience in urban planning, design, and scientific research in the field, Mr. LI has participated in nearly 100 urban planning, design, and research projects. Notably, he has contributed to the preparation of the 1984 version of the Shenzhen Special Economic Zone Master Plan and presided over the 2001 version of the Shenzhen 2030 Urban Development Strategy and the 2009 project on China’s Low Carbon Eco-City Development Strategy.
