Mr. GONG Daoxiao serves as Deputy Chief Engineer of the China Academy of Urban Planning and Design(CAUPD). He is also the Director General of Institute of Urban Water Engineering Research and Director General of CAUPD Xiamen Branch.
Additionally, he holds the positions of Executive Deputy Director at the Urban Water Supply Quality Monitoring Center and the Urban Water Resources Center, both under the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development(MoHURD). He is also the Secretary General of the Engineering Planning Committee of the Urban Planning Society of China(UPSC) and the Chair of the Water Conservation Committee of the China Urban Water Association.
Mr. GONG holds a master’s degree in engineering from Tsinghua University and a doctorate degree in governmental supervision of urban public utilities from Zhejiang University of Finance and Economics. He is a Certified Urban Planner of China and a Professorate Senior Urban Planner.
Throughout his career, Mr. GONG has focused on research, consulting, and planning of urban water system, urban ecology, and urban infrastructure. He has undertaken and participated in more than 80 urban planning, urban water system planning, design, and research projects as project leader and specific research topic leader. He has published over 10 academic papers and has been recognized with more than 10 awards, including the China Award for Science and Technology in Construction and the National Outstanding Urban and Rural Planning and Design Award.
